Naxos is located on the exact center of the Aegean sea and is the largest Cycladic island. Zeus, regarded by the ancient Greeks as the father of “Humans and Gods”, was supposedly born in Crete, in the Cave Edaeon, and raised in Naxos, and for that reason the largest mountain in Naxos was named after him.

The archaic temple of Apollo, the traditional city of Chora with the French castle, Aperanthos -  a village of superb beauty, the towers, the sandy beaches and the olive tree valleys, create a mosaic of images that promote awe for nature’s capability of creating miracles.

In Nikos Kazantzakes’ words for Naxos, “this island is sweet, quiet, the faces of the people are peaceful… …and the sea is calm”.
